DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Audit your website before redesigning it

A redesign can improve appearance while leaving performance, conversion, search visibility and technical debt untouched. Audit the current site first.

Separate visual dissatisfaction from performance problems

A website can look old but convert well, or look polished while loading slowly and confusing search engines. Before redesigning, measure traffic sources, important landing pages, conversion paths, page speed, mobile behaviour and technical issues.

Preserve URLs and content that already perform. A redesign that changes slugs without redirects can destroy accumulated search visibility.

Check technical foundations

Review HTTP status codes, redirect chains, canonical tags, robots directives, sitemaps, structured data, metadata, image sizes, caching and security headers. These are not substitutes for good content, but they prevent avoidable technical problems from undermining it.

Make a migration map before changing the information architecture. Every important old URL should have a deliberate destination.

Redesign around user tasks

Use analytics, search queries, support questions and sales conversations to identify what visitors are actually trying to do. Then design navigation and calls to action around those tasks rather than internal company structure.

TWE Site Doctor can provide a first public-signal check, but a full redesign decision should also include analytics and user behaviour that public scanning cannot see.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Turn the idea into a clear implementation plan.

Use TWE to structure requirements first. If you later want implementation, Valron can pick up the same brief.
